| Rattan Bo Rattan Bo
Rattan is very similar to bamboo, in that it is more of a vine than a tree. But rattan differs because it does not grow a hollow center like bamboo, but instead grows a firm, spiny center. Rattan can be manufactured and used, in many ways, like real wood. It is often used instead of wood because it is easier to harvest and much cheaper to transport.
Rattan has long been used to create bo staffs, mainly due to its similarity to bamboo. The material makes a very hard cane, which has a good amount of flexibility to it. The weight may vary, depending upon which size staff you get, but in general most rattan bo staffs can take some serious abuse.
Our rattan bo staff is lightweight, as it is made of all natural rattan, and hand carved. It is decorated using a traditional spiral burn pattern, which gives the bo a beautiful appearance that is pleasing to the eye and confusing to the competitor. There are also hand carvings on both ends. The bo comes in two sizes: five feet or six feet.
Due to its large size, there is an additional shipping charge of $15.00 for the item.
