|  Keikogi Kendo jacket - Blue or WhiteKeikogi Kendo Jacket
Kendo is a martial art that is very similar to fencing. Two martial artists face off using a kendo stick (Shinai), generally made with bamboo, and fight using the kendo sticks. Many martial arts have uniforms or gi’s that are very similar to each other. The uniform worn in Kendo is very different.
A Kendo uniform has more than one part. There is a jacket, or Keikogi, and a hakama. The hakama is a wide-legged pant that makes it difficult for the opponent to see where the practitioner’s legs are, as it makes it appear as though the person is floating. There is also protective armor, or bogu, worn over the equipment.
This Keikogi is created specifically for Kendo or Aikido, and is made with reinforced stitching, so that the jacket will last for a long time. The sleeves are the traditional ¾ length in order to give a good amount of movement during competition. A black hakama is not included, but if you need a full outfit we do have some available here
