The hand is filled with tons of bones, some extremely tiny. Because of this, any strong hit with the hand can cause a finger or other part of the hand to break very easily. Because of this, most martial artists and boxers that compete wear special boxing gloves to protect the hand.
Hand wraps are generally worn under the gloves in order to help the glove fit better and to further protect the hand and wrist. There are a number of ways that these gloves can be wrapped, it depends upon the particular style and comfort of the wrapper.
Hand wraps can also be worn when you are practicing and using the bag. It will help to protect the hand and will allow you to punch harder. We have hand wraps available in red, white, yellow, black and blue. The wraps are 108” by 2” and ship in three to four business days.
